batam cable ski 050708

went to batam last saturday to have a go at cable ski...came back with aching forearms...most demoralizing kind of water sports i've experienced by far...cus you see how easy others are able to do it and yet you cant even finish 1 bloody lap...

the best i could achieve in that 1 afternoon--almost reaching the first buoy for the stand up ski and reaching the last buoy for the kneel down ski...drank plenty of water though...bleah...

they had motorbikes to fetch you back to the start point if you buang very very far away...
i scored 2 rides...lol...my first time on a motorbike too...hehe

this is where u stand-by while waiting for your turn and for the cable crew to pass u the cable...notice there're high and low platforms to start off from...dont need to say which ones are for who...

here's eugene doing the "tuck in your chicken wings" stance...the instructor kept emphasizing on tucking in your chicken wings...keep your cg low...keep your balls above the board...dont pull the cable and let the cable pull you...dont step hard on the board...


they also provided tandem rides, upon request...and most likely for girls only...here's rachel getting a ride from a super-zai malay cable crew man
