NB real run: training run

attended the training run at sentosa this morning with isabel...i thought it would make a good route familiarization run and at the same time make up for some mileage training which i havent been able to do recently...

run was good...took me 44.25 to complete...my left knee wasnt as painful as what happened at wave run...my quads held up pretty well...breathing and pace was good...overall felt pretty satisfied after the run...

oh ya...my first experience running on sand...how to describe leh...energy sapping? but it most definitely slows you down quite abit...especially the soft portion when we enter from the road to the seaside...then from the seaside out to the road...the sand path has slight slope somemore...but luckily only 1.6km of the run is sand....heng ah

the organisers even provided 100+ and some fruity energy drink at the finishing point which i thought was very nice of them...training run somemore...

when i reached home i had by far the WORST protein drink i've prepared for myself so far...
whey powder+milk powder+very hot water=SUPER huge clumpy masses everywhere
and after stiring and pressing the clumps against the side of the mug, i was left with oat-ish kind of floating things...warao...almost puked when i was forcing down all the oat-ish things...definitely not the way i want to enjoy my protein whey lor...basket...looks like i'm gonna have to buy fresh milk on a weekly basis liao

been finding it tough to make myself complete the 3x2.4 intervals recently...quads tired la...getting sian with the riverside path la...all the lousy excuses mostly-haha...anyway yesterday only did 2x2.4 with a longer rest in between...muay informed me that we should allow ourselves to rest until normal heart rate before starting a new set otherwise it would defeat the purpose of interval trng...

so yesterday did 10.09-rest 3.5min-10.29...couldnt push myself for another set so the excuse i gave myself was that i going for trng run today...heh
